A math tutor,
A Stanford grad,
And most importantly, a mom.

Here’s how I became The Math Lady.

Hi Parents,

First, let me salute you for the work you are doing in taking ownership of your child’s math education.  To my homeschoolers…while I am not a homeschool parent myself, many of my friends and clients are.  I deeply understand and respect this labor of love you have taken on.  And I want you to know that it is because of my desire to support all parents that I have taken on this passion project of Nicole the Math Lady.

Let me tell you a little about myself.   I am a mother of two, a Stanford graduate, owner of a training and development company, and a professional tutor since I was 16 years old.  I have always had a love for teaching…and a particular love for math.  Math, you say?  Yep…I’ve always thought math was easy…because it’s objective.  There’s always a right answer.  If you learn and apply the right process, you’ll get the correct answer every time.

Add that to the fact that I have a passion and knack for coming up with fun, engaging, and even whacky strategies (Nicoleisms) to teach these processes…thus, making it STICK! Whether it’s a memorable mnemonic device, a crazy song, or a funky new made-up word, I can promise that my teaching style is one where your child will never be BORED.  Ask any of the kids in my neighborhood.  They were the ones who gave me the name – Nicole the Math Lady.  It started out with their parents sending them to my house for help with their math homework.  But once they realized they liked it, they just started coming for help on their own.

Engaging a child in math is not often an easy task.  So I created this teaching series to assist you.  With my tools, you can help your child learn the processes of math in a methodical but also lively and exciting way.  I can’t wait for you to see the looks on their faces when you see them get it…like really GET it!  And heck…they might even say they like it…dare I say LOVE IT!…

Let’s work together!
