Welcome to Week 1 of Nicole’s Summer Math-a-Palooza!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my last blog, I told you all about my Math-a-Palooza. If you’d like to read up on the details and how you can sign up, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Week 1 begins Monday, June 5th<\/sup> at 12:00 am EST<\/strong> and ends Saturday, June 10th<\/sup> at midnight EST.<\/strong> Here’s what you’ll need to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next Sunday, you’ll receive an email with the link to the Wall of Fame and the Mastery Bank Tournament Winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Just a reminder, each week is independent of the others, so if you cannot participate this week, that\u2019s ok. Select 2-3 topics for your student to focus on and assign them a few problems from each topic. Have them work for about 15 minutes a day.<\/td><\/tr> What else should I know?<\/td> The Plus 0 and Plus 1 math facts are quite easy, and your student will learn them very quickly. That\u2019s ok. Let them have an easy week as it will get harder as the weeks go on.

The more problems they do and get correct, the higher up the leaderboard they\u2019ll be. They can keep track of their point total on the Math-a-Palooza tab on their student profile.<\/td><\/tr> Did you say something about prizes?<\/td> or each Wall of Fame appearance, your student will receive one entry in the virtual Lunch with Nicole giveaway (which includes a $50 gift card for lunch.).
